The Axe's Daughter - All World's A Carnival
Sometimes Lizzie Borden feels like she’s living a Shakespearean comedy. So much has happened since she joined Monsieur Mesonges’ Carnival that she barely remembers her prior life as a stripper. After arriving in Ashland, Oregon, Lizzie learns she must use the talents of her past to reel in a warden for information about a Shield, locked in his small-town jail. Will she be able to dance her way to a carnival brother’s freedom? There’s one thing she knows for sure:
The show must go on!
“Careful, or The Bad will get you”
“Mother says the barn is filled with The Bad, but it’s one of the only places Viola finds peace. Her memories aren’t her own and it’s almost too much for a nine-year-old to bear.
Generations had been born on Klein Farm, but as far as Viola can tell, none of their lives had been happy — and some of them ended in violence, including her own.”
The Axe's Daughter: Maid In The Sun
After being summoned to beautiful Santa Cruz, California, Monsieur Mesonges’ Carnival learns one of their kind is in trouble. An ocean rescue is in order, and Lizzie decides she’s going to be the hero. When not swinging on the trapeze, she’s scouring the boardwalk for clues, hoping to find the mysterious figure on the run from some really bad guys–who just happen to be her relatives.
Lizzie finally has the family she always dreamed of, is the star attraction for an enchanted carnival, and has the best boyfriend ever. Not everybody is happy for her, though–some would like nothing more than to sweep the trapeze safety net from under her feet!
The Axe's Daughter
Good thing being one tough mother is in her blood.
Lizzie Borden is pretty sure she is going to spend the rest of her life bumping and grinding at the same pole her mother stripped on before her. Once she finally decides to embrace her exotic dancing destiny, she finds a shiny new one. Lizzie learns that before she was born, her mother worked as a gifted trapeze artist for an enchanted traveling carnival, owned by Monsieur Mesonges: Ringmaster extraordinaire and Lizzie’s maternal grandfather.
As Mesonges long suspected, Lizzie inherited her mother’s acrobatic endowment – and now that she knows where she belongs she must fight to remain there. Once believing herself a lone orphan, Lizzie finds she has a large and unique extended family. One half is full of magic and ready to welcome her into the fold, but her father’s side will stop at nothing until she’s dead.

Frankie in Paris
Frankie has never been, well, normal. But apart from her family and a few close friends, no one knows how different she really is. Born with telekinetic powers, Frankie tries her best to act like everyone else—but sometimes her emotions get the best of her and her "special talent" takes the wheel. When Frankie's grandmother, Lulu, offers to take her to France, it seems like a pretty good deal! Frankie could never have dreamed of the crazy adventures she would experience, and how often she might have to rescue her grandmother. Prior to leaving on their vacation Frankie is reminded by her friends not to "do that extra thing" that she can do. However, Lulu participates in more than her share of hijinks—leaving Frankie to wonder who is acting as the adult on their vacation, and occasionally causing her to lose the tenuous internal battle that she often has to wage with her TK powers. She sees some famous sights and encounters a host of colorful people, wishing that she could have shared her trip to the most romantic place in the world with her handsome boyfriend—instead of with her crazy grandmother. In the end, Frankie learns that you can't choose your family but you're pretty lucky if your family chooses you for a traveling partner—no matter how unconventional they may be.
